It's really spring

I just thought I'd say that I really like spring here. The photo is a little cheesy, but that's life. A and C and I went on a picnic a few weeks ago. Pretty sweet...

Cedar shingles

A has been working on the house nonstop since May. He sleeps, eats and breathes this house.

I think it's looking pretty good! The cedar shingles are so beautiful in the sunlight.

The bean on Mt. Tam

C and I went to Stinson Beach for the day... we made riding rings for the horses out of sand, played in the playground, watched the bike race and then shared a greasy tuna melt and some fries from the Parkside.

On the way home, we stopped at Mt. Tam and I snapped this pic just before the camera battery died. I love that view of the Pacific and the beautiful oak trees. I've said it a hundred times, but it's true. If I didn't live here already and I came to visit Mt. Tam on a sunny day, I'd seriously never leave.

Welcome

I suppose there were other blogs I'd started over the years, but I've discarded them along the way and I'm going to commit to this one.

I started my book yesterday, which is essentially a survival guide for working moms. It's kind of ironic that while I was working fulltime I would never have had the time to write it. And now that I'm unemployed (excuse me, between projects) I can finally do it! I also had an interview yesterday with a cool startup in San Rafael, but the environment there was almost too serene. I couldn't reconcile it in any way with the total chaos of my last job at a large unnamed media company in SF.
